Lebanese Lablebi

Lebanese Lablebi is a traditional dish made with chickpeas, tahini, and various herbs and spices. Here is a simple recipe for making it:

Ingredients:

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup tahini

2 cloves of garlic, minced

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

2-3 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro

Instructions:

In a food processor or blender, add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Process the ingredients until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Slowly add in 2 tablespoons of olive oil while blending until desired consistency is reached.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and drizzle with additional olive oil and sprinkle with chopped parsley or cilantro.

Serve the lablebi with pita bread or as a dip with vegetables or crackers.
