Cookies

Cookies are a popular and easy treat to make at home. Here is a basic recipe for making chocolate chip cookies:

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

3/4 cup white sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a separate mixing bowl, cream the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and mix until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy your homemade cookies!
